Journal ArticleDOI

Insulinoma-Associated Protein 1 Is a Crucial Regulator of Neuroendocrine Differentiation in Lung Cancer.

TL;DR: It is found that INSM1 was not expressed in non-small-cell lung cancer and some SCLC cell lines expressing Notch1-Hes1, and by forced/knockdown expression of Notch 1 or Hes1 genes, it was revealed that Notch2-HES1 signaling suppressed IN SM1, as well as ASCL1 and BRN2.
Journal ArticleDOI

The pathological significance of Notch1 in oral squamous cell carcinoma

TL;DR: Results indicate that altered expression of Notch1 is associated with increased cancer progression and that notch1 regulates the steps involved in cell metastasis in OSCC, and inactivating Notch signaling with GSI could therefore be a useful approach for treating patients with OSCC.
Journal ArticleDOI

Small cell lung cancer, an epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT)-like cancer: significance of inactive Notch signaling and expression of achaete-scute complex homologue 1

TL;DR: SCLC is characterized by neuroendocrine differentiation and EMT-like features, which could be produced by inactive Notch signaling and ASCL1 expression, which may determine the cell behaviors of SCLC partly through modifying EMT phenotypes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Notch1 controls cell invasion and metastasis in small cell lung carcinoma cell lines

TL;DR: The results demonstrate that activation of Notch1 signaling pathway may represent a new strategy for treating human SCLC, and notch1 controls cell adhesion and EMT.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluation of role of Notch3 signaling pathway in human lung cancer cells

TL;DR: Notch3 signaling in lung carcinoma is dependent on cell type, and inhibiting Notch3 inNSCLC decreases cell proliferation and induces apoptosis in NSCLC, while notch3 has no effect on cell proliferation or NE features of SCLC.
