Dependence of the network structure of cured styrene butadiene rubber on the sulphur content

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the dependence of the physical properties of styrene-butadiene rubber copolymers (cured with different sulphur content, in order to obtain various networks) on the crosslink density by means of dynamical mechanical analysis, differential scanning calorimetry and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of the nano-cellulose content on the properties of reinforced polyurethanes. A study using mechanical tests and positron anihilation spectroscopy

TL;DR: Aranguren et al. as mentioned in this paper, Mirta Ines Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Cientificas and Tecnicas Centro Cientícios Tecnologico Mar del Plata Instituto de Investigación en Ciencia y Técnologia de Materiales (IITTE) of Argentina, Mar del plata, Argentina.
Journal ArticleDOI

Study of the water absorption and its influence on the Young's modulus in a commercial polyamide

TL;DR: In this article, the water absorption and desorption processes of a commercial polyamide were studied in the temperature range of 20-90°C. The results were analyzed using the Langmuir model, which considered two states of absorbed water in the polymer: bound and mobile.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurement of the Young's modulus in particulate epoxy composites using the impulse excitation technique

TL;DR: In this paper, a study of the Young's modulus as a function of the volumetric filler content in an epoxy matrix was carried out, where composites were prepared adding to the resin matrix particles of aluminum, copper and quartz with typical sizes of about 100μm.
Journal ArticleDOI

Yield and internal stresses in aluminum filled epoxy resin. A compression test and positron annihilation analysis

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of the filler content on the mechanical properties of an epoxy resin composite filled with aluminum powder was investigated and the response of the composites was also studied by positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy.
