Historical development of concentrating solar power technologies to generate clean electricity efficiently – A review

TL;DR: The use of PTC technology in the operational CSP projects is 95.7% and has decreased to 73.4% for the under-construction projects as mentioned in this paper, while the use of TSP technology has reached to 71.43%, compared to 28.57% for PTC.
Journal ArticleDOI

Entrepreneurial Intention, Entrepreneurial Orientation of Faculty and Students towards Commercialization☆

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors conducted a study to find out the entrepreneurial intention and entrepreneurial orientation of faculty and students towards commercialization of research at one research university of Malaysia. And the results indicated that entrepreneurial orientation was having more influence towards commercialisation of research than entrepreneurial intention alone.
Journal ArticleDOI

Three-dimensional finite element modeling and analysis of the mechanical behavior of dry contact slipping between the disc and the brake pads

TL;DR: In this article, the structural and mechanical behavior of a three-dimensional disc-pad model during the braking process under dry contacts slipping conditions is investigated, and a predictive analysis is performed in order to determine the global deformations, Von Mises stress on the disc, and contact pressures on the inner and outer pad at different time of simulation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Brake torque analysis of fully mechanical parking brake system: Theoretical and experimental approach

TL;DR: In this paper, a one dimensional (1D) model of a leading-trailing drum-type parking brake model is developed and verified with experiments carried out on a test bench that has been verified with the hand brake system in the vehicle.
Journal ArticleDOI

CFD analysis of the brake disc and the wheel house through air flow: Predictions of Surface heat transfer coefficients (STHC) during braking operation

TL;DR: In this paper, a CFD analysis is carried out on the braking system as the study of this case, to make out the behavior of air flow distribution around the disc brake components using ANSYS CFX software.
