Effects of nano-alumina content on the formation of interconnected pores in porous purging plug materials

TL;DR: In this paper, the physical properties and microstructure of porous purging plug materials added with different nano-alumina contents and firing temperatures were investigated by means of X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, air permeability, pore size distribution, mean pore sizes, apparent porosity, bulk density, and cold crushing strength tests.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of critical particle size on properties and microstructure of porous purging materials

TL;DR: The effects of the critical particle size on the properties and microstructure of the porous purging materials were investigated in this paper, where four kinds of samples containing the same matrix and different aggregates were successfully fabricated through pouring shaping.

Dispersive air brick and preparation method thereof

TL;DR: In this paper, a dispersive air brick and a preparation method for the preparation of a plate-shaped corundum is presented, where 50 to 80 wt% of the material is used as an aggregate and 12 to 32 wt % of aluminum oxide fine powders, 5 to 10 % of alumina micro powders and 3 to 8 % of a binding agent are used as matrix materials.
Journal ArticleDOI

Micro-Porosity and Properties of Light-Weight Insulation Refractories Based on Calcined Flint Clay

TL;DR: In this paper, light-weight insulation materials were prepared with calcined flint clay as the main material and sawdust was infused by sols as a pore forming agent.
