Journal ArticleDOI
Antibacterial and antibiofilm activities of the metabolites isolated from the culture of the mangrove-derived endophytic fungus Eurotium chevalieri KUFA 0006.
War War May Zin,Suradet Buttachon,Tida Dethoup,José Alberto Pereira,Luís Gales,Ângela S. Inácio,Paulo Martins da Costa,Michael Lee,Nazim Sekeroglu,Artur M. S. Silva,Madalena Pinto,Anake Kijjoa +11 more
TL;DR: Five previously undescribed metabolites, including acetylquestinol, two prenylated indole 3-carbaldehyde derivatives, an anthranilic acid derivative and an isochromone derivative were isolated from the culture of the endophytic fungus Eurotium chevalieri.
Journal ArticleDOI
New Cyclotetrapeptides and a New Diketopiperzine Derivative from the Marine Sponge-Associated Fungus Neosartorya glabra KUFA 0702.
War War May Zin,Suradet Buttachon,Tida Dethoup,Carla Fernandes,Sara Cravo,Madalena Pinto,Luís Gales,Luís Gales,José Alberto Pereira,Artur M. S. Silva,Nazim Sekeroglu,Anake Kijjoa +11 more
TL;DR: Two new cyclotetrapeptides, sartoryglabramides A and B and a new analog of fellutanine A were isolated, together with six known compounds, from the ethyl acetate extract of the culture of the marine sponge-associated fungus Neosartorya glabra KUFA 0702.
Journal ArticleDOI
A New Meroditerpene and a New Tryptoquivaline Analog from the Algicolous Fungus Neosartorya takakii KUFC 7898
War War May Zin,Suradet Buttachon,Jamrearn Buaruang,Luís Gales,Luís Gales,José Alberto Pereira,Madalena Pinto,Artur M. S. Silva,Anake Kijjoa +8 more
TL;DR: The three new compounds did not show any quorum sensing inhibition in the screening protocol based on the pigment production by Chromobacterium violaceum and were evaluated for their antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, and multidrug-resistant isolates from the environment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Secondary Metabolites from the Culture of the Marine Sponge-Associated Fungi Talaromyces tratensis and Sporidesmium circinophorum.
Suradet Buttachon,War War May Zin,Tida Dethoup,Luís Gales,José Alberto Pereira,Artur M. S. Silva,Anake Kijjoa +6 more
TL;DR: Three new wortmin, meso-1,4-bis(4-methoxybenzyl)-2,3-butanediol, and a new isocoumarin derivative tratenopyrone were isolated from the marine sponge-associated fungus Talaromyces tratensis, and none of the compounds exhibited either antibacterial or anti-quorum sensing activities.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bioactive Secondary Metabolites from a Thai Collection of Soil and Marine-Derived Fungi of the Genera Neosartorya and Aspergillus.
TL;DR: Among fifty three secondary metabolites isolated, only the alkaloid eurochevalierine and the cadinene sesquiterpene, isolated from the soil fungus N. pseudofisheri, showed relevant in vitro cytostatic activity against glioblastoma and non-small cell lung cancer cell lines.
