The algorithms are used to solve 24 benchmark functions that are categorized by unimodal, multimodal, and fixed-dimension multimodal. As a finding, the algorithm inspired in the Lorentz potential field presents the most balanced computational performance in terms of exploitation (accuracy and precision), exploration (convergence speed and acceleration), and simulation time compared to the algorithms previously mentioned. A deeper analysis reveals that a strong potential field inside a well with weak asymptotic behavior leads to better exploitation and exploration attributes for unimodal, multimodal, and fixed-multimodal functions.

The new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has affected a large part of the worldwide population, causing more than a million deaths between the end of 2019 until now. Technological development and digital tools arise to carry out activities remotely, either for monitoring or diagnosis. Medical teleconsultation activities are not new, but due to the pandemic situation that the COVID-19 originated, it has become a popular option to avoid going to consultations physically due to the risk of contagion. This article presents an analysis of different teleconsultation services implemented during the spread of the COVID-19 in the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador, as a case study. The methodology includes a performance assessment of the teleconsultation apps used during the critical periods of the pandemic. We detailed the fundamental stages deemed to verify that the fulfillment and knowledge about telemedicine in this city are not extensive enough in terms of remote health benefits. Throughout this article, we evidenced that the population is not prepared to manage remote-care systems due to the low use of technology and the lack of support from public or private agencies for providing technological development for medical services that satisfy the needs of the inhabitants.

Teleconsultation Apps in the COVID-19 Pandemic: The Case of Guayaquil City, Ecuador

In this paper, we present an analysis of the different database systems for storing the information gather by a wireless sensor network. In this work we present different test scenarios in order to evaluate the Fetch Time and the use of Mebibyte in Relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and No-SQL (MongoDB, Couch, Ne04J) databases. For achieving this goal, the database instances are deployed in Docker containers for providing the same deploy, host platform and, also present a performance analysis of the resources for each database. Moreover, we conduct a case of study focus in the storage of the asynchronous information collected by a WSN in a reactive evacuation system, this is information is handled by a Kafka cluster and Zookeeper topics. Finally the tests made in this work provide the information needed for making the correct elections of the database in this type of systems.
