TL;DR: Both the known and the novel Smqnr genes were discovered in both quinolone non-sensitive and sensitive isolates with similar frequency, suggesting that the SmqNR gene makes little contribution to quinOLone resistance in this organism.
Journal ArticleDOI
Detection of KPC-2 and qnrS1 in clinical isolates of Morganella morganii from China.
TL;DR: Seven carbapenem-nonsusceptible Morganella morganii isolates, which have similar antibiotic susceptibility profiles, were isolated over a 5-month period and pulsed-field gel electrophoresis indicated that 6 isolates were indistinguishable or closely related.
