Zirconocene Catalyzed Dehalogenation of Aromatic Halides by Alkylmagnesium Reagents
TL;DR: In this article, the aromatic halides were treated with alkylmagnesium reagents (which have β-hydrogens) and a catalytic amount of zirconocene dichloride, and dehalogenation proceeded smoothly in high yields.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cycloheptyl‐fused NNO‐ligands as electronically modifiable supports for M(II) (M = Co, Fe) chloride precatalysts; probing performance in ethylene oligo‐/polymerization
Chantsalnyam Bariashir,Zheng Wang,Shizhen Du,Gregory A. Solan,Chuanbing Huang,Tongling Liang,Wen-Hua Sun,Wen-Hua Sun +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a one-pot template approach using,-dioxo-2,3:5,6-bis(pentamethylene)pyridine, the corresponding aniline along with the respective cobalt or iron salt in acetic acid.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tailoring polymers through interplay of ligands within precatalysts: 8-(Nitro/benzhydryl-arylimino)-7,7-dimethyl-5,6-dihydroquinolylnickel halides in ethylene polymerization
TL;DR: In this article, a series of 8-(nitro/benzhydryl-substituted arylimino)-7,7-dimethyl-5,6-dihydroquinolines and corresponding nickel halide complexes were synthesized and characterized.
Journal ArticleDOI
NMR and EPR Spectroscopic Identification of Intermediates Formed upon Activation of 8-Mesitylimino-5,6,7-trihydroquinolylnickel Dichloride with AlR2Cl (R = Me, Et)
Igor E. Soshnikov,Nina V. Semikolenova,Konstantin P. Bryliakov,Vladimir A. Zakharov,Wen-Hua Sun,Evgenii P. Talsi +5 more
TL;DR: The intermediates formed upon activation of 8-mesitylimino-5,6,7-trihydroquinolylnickel dichloride [LNiCl2] with AlR2Cl (R = Me, Et) have been studied by 1H NMR and EPR spectroscopy as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Activity and Thermal Stability of Cobalt(II)-Based Olefin Polymerization Catalysts Adorned with Sterically Hindered Dibenzocycloheptyl Groups.
TL;DR: It must be stressed that the thermal stability of the catalyst and the molecular weight of the obtained polyethylene attain the highest values reported for the unsymmetrical 2,6-bis(imino)pyridylcobalt (II) chloride precatalysts.
