Laser direct joining of CFRTP and aluminium alloy with a hybrid surface pre-treating method
TL;DR: In this paper, a hybrid surface pre-treating method was proposed to improve the CFRTP/Al alloy laser assisted joining strength, and the results showed that the maximum joining strength with this hybrid method was about 260% of that without any surface treating.
Journal ArticleDOI
Improvement of abrasion resistance in artificial seawater and corrosion resistance in NaCl solution of 7075 aluminum alloy processed by laser shock peening
Hao Wang,Hao Wang,Chengyi Ning,Chengyi Ning,Yihui Huang,Zhenya Cao,Zhenya Cao,Xiaoxiao Chen,Wenwu Zhang +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of laser shock peening on abrasion resistance in artificial seawater and corrosion resistance in 3.5% NaCl solution of 7075 aluminum alloy was studied.
Journal ArticleDOI
CFRTP and stainless steel laser joining: Thermal defects analysis and joining parameters optimization
TL;DR: In this paper, experiments with different joining parameters were carried out on fiber laser welding system to explore the mechanism of CFRTP/stainless steel joining and the influence of the parameters on the joining quality.
Journal ArticleDOI
Numerical and experimental investigation on joining CFRTP and stainless steel using fiber lasers
TL;DR: In this paper, the mathematical model of CFRTP-stainless steel laser joining was established and the relationship between the thermal behaviors and the joining parameters were studied numerically, and the cross-sectional photos of the joint showed that the melting PPS flowed into the CFRTP stainless steel interface and obtained a joint with a high shear strength.
Journal ArticleDOI
CFRTP -Al alloy laser assisted joining with a high speed rotational welding technology
TL;DR: In this paper, a high speed rotational laser welding (HSRLW) technology was introduced to reduce the defects in laser welding of carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRTP) and aluminum (Al) alloy and improve the mechanical properties of the joint.
