Journal ArticleDOI

New ways of genterating organotion reactive intermediates for organic synthesis

TL;DR: In this article, the authors reported progress in generating and applying two important organotin reactive species for organic synthesis, i.e., Stannyl radicals R 3 Sn + + and Stansyl cations R 3 SN + + +, which are used as superior leaving groups in electrophilic aromatic ipso substitution.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tin for organic synthesis. 10. Unconventional regiospecific syntheses of aromatic carbonamides and thiocarbonamides by means of tin-mediated Friedel-Crafts reactions

TL;DR: Friedel-Crafts reactions of stannylarenes 1 with tosyl isocyanate (TsNCO, 2) give N-tosyl carbonamides 3 via ipso substitution of the Stannyl group as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

7-Germanorbornadienes and their thermal cycloeliminations

TL;DR: In this article, the authors show that the thermolysis of 22 7-silanorbornadienes (18 of them new) forming silylene R2Si and the corresponding benzene derivatives is a two step reaction enhanced by higher stability of the intermediate biradical.
