Abstract: Written for executive-level human resource professionals, consultants, and line managers charged with human resource responsibilities, this work provides the bridge between a vague and looming future and the immediate needs of the organization. It shows how to align the HR function with organizational objectives, demonstrates how to define and measure HR results, provides guidelines for building new competencies, and outlines methods for narrowing the gap between current and future HR roles.
