Journal ArticleDOI

4-Hydroxycoumarin/2-hydroxychromone tautomerism: Infrared spectra of 2-13c and 3-D labeled 4-hydroxycoumarin and its anion

TL;DR: In this paper, isotopic substitution with either 13C or deuterium was used to identify bands with primarily v (C=O) and v(C =O) character in the spectra of 4-hydroxycoumarin and its anion.
Journal ArticleDOI

Adsorption of insulin to the surface of peritoneal dialysis solution containers.

TL;DR: Adsorption of insulin to glass and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) surfaces is known to occur with intravenous fluid systems, and this study was conducted to measure insulin adsorption to dialysis fluid systems.
Journal ArticleDOI

Changes in the metabolic profiles of R- and S-warfarin and R- and S-phenprocoumon as a probe to categorize the effect of inducing agents on microsomal hydroxylases.

TL;DR: In keeping with the pattern obtained from noninduced microsomes, a reversed stereoselectivity was again observed after induction with these three agents, i.e. warfarin metabolism was selective for the R-enantiomer and phenprocoumon metabolism was select for the S-en Anti-Anticoagulant.
Journal ArticleDOI

4‐Hydroxycoumarin/2‐hydroxychromone tautomerism: Infrared spectra of 3‐substituted‐2‐13c‐4‐hydroxycoumarins

TL;DR: By isotopic replacement of the carbonyl carbon with 13C, the CO stretching frequency was identified as the highest frequency strongly absorbing band in the 1550-1750 cm−1 region of the infrared spectra of several 3-substituted 4-hydroxycoumarins and 3-Substituated 4-alkoxycoumins as discussed by the authors.
