A method for the determination of the kinetic order and energy of the atom formation process in electrothermal atomization atomic absorption spectrometry (ETA-AAS)

TL;DR: In this paper, a procedure for the determination of the kinetic parameters for the atom formation process in electrothermal atomizers is presented, from the kinetic equations of a mechanism where the rate of atom formation is assumed to have an arbitrary order m, and it is shown that the rate constant for the non-isothermal generation of atomic vapor k1(t) is proportional to k2(t), where k 2 t is the rate for the dissipation of the atomic vapor and A(t is the absorbance signal.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrokinetic flow in ultrafine slits - ionic size effects

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used the restricted primitive model (RPM) for electrolytes, which takes into account the ionic size, to calculate several electrokinetic quantities for a 1:1 ionic solution in a charged slit.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrothermal atomization of silver in graphite furnaces. Part 1. A two-precursor mechanism

TL;DR: In this article, a two-precursor kinetic mechanism is proposed to describe the electrothermal atomization of silver, and two temperature regions of atomization, with well defined atomization energies, are predicted by the Arrhenius plots for systems in which the vaporization processes are at least partially time resolved.
