TL;DR: Although feelings of loneliness and social isolation have a negative association on the life satisfaction of older adults, this relationship may be altered by empowering seniors’ self-esteem through their involvement in lifelong learning, which supports the functioning of older people also at the social level.

Positive downstream indirect reciprocity scale (PoDIRS–6): Construction and psychometric characteristics

TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed a reliable and psychometrically sound Downstream Indirect Reciprocity Scale (DIRS), and established and examined the factor structure of the DIRS and its statistical properties, using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) (Study 1); assess the relationship between the observed measures and latency factor of DIR through confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and measure the internal consistency and nomological validity (Studies 2,5).

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors explored the moderating role of religiosity on the relationship between loss of self-dignity and anger, and found that the level of anger resulting from the loss of Self-Dignity is significantly lower with the increase in religiosity.
