Stellettin B Induces G1 Arrest, Apoptosis and Autophagy in Human Non-small Cell Lung Cancer A549 Cells via Blocking PI3K/Akt/mTOR Pathway

TL;DR: The isolated stellettin B (Stel B) from marine sponge Jaspis stellifera is isolated, and it is demonstrated that it induced G1 arrest, apoptosis and autophagy at low concentrations in human NSCLC A549 cells, indicating the antitumor potential of Stel B by targeting PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nepetin inhibits IL-1β induced inflammation via NF-κB and MAPKs signaling pathways in ARPE-19 cells.

TL;DR: Taken together, Nepetin abolishes IL-1β-induced IL-6, IL-8 and MCP-1 secretion and mRNA expression by repressing the activation of NF-κB and MAPKs.
Journal ArticleDOI

IVSE, isolated from Inula japonica, suppresses LPS-induced NO production via NF-κB and MAPK inactivation in RAW264.7 cells.

TL;DR: In this paper, the anti-inflammatory and anti-asthmatic properties of Inula japonica Thunb extract were investigated in the context of nitric oxide (NO) synthesis.
Journal ArticleDOI

ZSTK474, a specific class I phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase inhibitor, induces G1 arrest and autophagy in human breast cancer MCF-7 cells

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that ZSTK474 induced autophagy in MCF-7 cells by use of various assays including monodansylcadaverine staining, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), tandem mRFP-GFP-LC3 fluorescence microscopy, and western blot detection of the autophagic protein markers of LC3B II, p62 and Atg 5.
Journal ArticleDOI

In Vitro Antileukemia Activity of ZSTK474 on K562 and Multidrug Resistant K562/A02 Cells.

TL;DR: ZSTK474 exhibited antileukemia activity alone, and showed synergistic effect when combined with Imatinib, on CML K562 cells as well as the multidrug resistant ones, providing a potential therapeutic approach for CML patients.
