This paper concerns the predefined-time bipartite consensus control for uncertain nonlinear multiagent systems under a signed directed topology. All agents have high-order uncertain nonlinear dynamic characteristics satisfying a time-varying Lipschitz growth condition, and their partial state information is not available for measurement. In this case, we put forward a novel output-feedback-based predefined-time leader-following bipartite consensus control strategy. A predefined-time compensator for each follower is firstly constructed with a time-varying gain by utilizing its relative output information. Then, a novel linear-like output feedback predefined-time distributed control protocol is developed for each follower by means of the compensator. By making two artful state transitions, the bipartite consensus problem is reduced to a stabilization one of nonlinear systems. By means of the Lyapunov stability theorem, we strictly prove that the designed controllers can ensure that all agents realize bipartite consensus in predefined time. Finally, two simulation examples are given to validate the viability of the developed theoretical algorithm.

Observer-based dynamic event-triggered semiglobal bipartite consensus (SGBC) is investigated for linear multi-agent systems (MASs) with input saturation under a competitive network. Based on the estimated relative information and low-gain feedback technology, distributed dynamic event-triggered control (DETC) protocols are proposed for solving the observer-based SGBC problems for MASs under a fixed topology and a jointly connected topology, respectively. It is turned out that the SGBC of MASs can be achieved under the proposed protocols. By using gauge transformation and the Lyapunov theory, the bipartite consensus conditions are obtained. Moreover, Zeno behaviors will be excluded. Finally, two simulation examples are presented to verify the theoretical results efficiently.

Observer-Based Dynamic Event-Triggered Semiglobal Bipartite Consensus of Linear Multi-Agent Systems With Input Saturation

This article studies event-triggered control for the prescribed-time bipartite consensus of first-order multiagent systems. For each agent, the new event-triggered control law and triggering condition are constructed without continuous interneighboring communication. Based on the Lyapunov stability theory and the algebraic graph theory, permissible value ranges of the designed parameters are established to guarantee that all agents reach bipartite consensus in a completely prespecified time. Moreover, a comprehensive theoretical discussion is provided to show that the Zeno behavior can be excluded during the whole time span except the prespecified settling time T. The simulation results demonstrate the feasibility of the provided methods.

Prescribed-Time Event-Triggered Bipartite Consensus of Multiagent Systems.

In this article, the bipartite consensus of first-order multiagent systems with a connected structurally balanced signed graph is studied. To reduce the communications among agents, a distributed event-triggered control law is proposed, where the event-triggering condition of each agent only uses its own state and the sampled states of its neighbours, and no knowledge of the global network topology is required. By relating to the nonexistence of some finite-time convergence, a novel analysis is given to show that there is no Zeno behavior in the proposed event-triggered multiagent system. Then, from the Lyapunov stability theory and the algebraic graph theory, it is proved that all agents can reach agreement with an identical magnitude but opposite signs. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the efficiency and feasibility of the proposed results.
