Principal component analysis is usually used for clutter suppression of ground penetrating radar, but its performance is influenced by the selection of main components of target signal. In the paper, an improved principal component selection rule is proposed for selecting the main components of target signal. In the method, firstly difference spectrum of singular value is used to extract direct wave and strong target signal, and then, Fuzzy-C means clustering algorithm is used to determine the weights of principal component of weak target signal. Finally, the principal components of strong target signal and weak target signal are reconstructed to obtain target signal. Experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively remove the clutter signals and reserve more target information.

A Clutter Suppression Method Based on Improved Principal Component Selection Rule for Ground Penetrating Radar

The invention discloses a weak target movement track extraction method based on Hough transform. The method comprises the steps: the detection of a target is divided into an initial stage and a tracking stage, and in the initial stage, echo data in all range cells within a period of time cell is selected and Hough transform is performed for the echo data to obtain the initial distance and estimated speed of the target; in the tracking stage, a range gate, a time gate and an angle gate are determined through the initial distance and the estimated speed, Hough transform is only performed for data in the range gate and the time gate, and in the Hough transform, only mapping processing within the angle gate is performed for the data, iteration processing is operated along the time axis according to the above steps, the range gate, the time gate and the angle gate are continuously updated, and a target range, a target speed and a motion track are obtained. In the initial stage, many echo data is adopted and processed in the method to improve the precision of the initial distance and the estimated speed, and in the tracking stage, a few data in the range gate, the time gate and the angle gate is adopted and processed, and then the computation amount and the storage amount can be effectively reduced while the tracking precision is guaranteed.
