Metformin inhibits the tumor-promoting effect of low-dose resveratrol, and enhances the anti-tumor activity of high-dose resveratrol by increasing its reducibility in triple negative breast cancer

TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper investigated the anti-TNBC mechanism of resveratrol under a mimic hypoxic tumor microenvironment and explored a method of combining metformin to improve the therapeutic effect.

Effects of siRNA interference of CDKL1 expression on proliferation and apoptosis of gastric cancer cells

TL;DR: This study used RNA interference approach to downregulate CDKL1 expression in gastric cancer cells, to investigate its role in mediating gastric cancers cell cycle, proliferation, apoptosis as well as its correlation with pathogenesis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Oxygen therapy accelerates apoptosis induced by selenium compounds via regulating Nrf2/MAPK signaling pathway in hepatocellular carcinoma.

TL;DR: In this paper , two selenium compounds, Na2SeO3 and CysSeSeCys, were selected to interrogate their therapeutic effects on hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) under different oxygen levels.
Journal ArticleDOI

CXCR7 Agonist TC14012 Improves Angiogenic Function of Endothelial Progenitor Cells via Activating Akt/eNOS Pathway and Promotes Ischemic Angiogenesis in Diabetic Limb Ischemia

TL;DR: In this paper , the effect of high glucose (HG) treatment on endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) was investigated in the context of diabetic ischemic angiogenesis, and it was shown that TC14012 can prevent EPCs from HG-induced dysfunction and apoptosis, improve eNOS activity and NO production via CXCR7/Akt signal pathway, and promote EPC mobilization and diabetic ischemia angiogenic function.
