Journal ArticleDOI

Electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of aluminum alloy–fly ash composites

TL;DR: In this paper, the cenosphere and precipitator fly ash particulates were used to produce two kinds of aluminum matrix composites with the density of 1.4-1.6 and 2.2-2.4g cm −3 separately.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mechanical properties of SiC/Gr/Al composites fabricated by squeeze casting technology

TL;DR: SiC/Gr/Al composites were fabricated by squeeze casting with graphite volume fractions of 3-7% and particles size of 1, 6, 10, 20 and 70μm as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electromagnetic interfering shielding of aluminum alloy–cenospheres composite

TL;DR: In this paper, fly-ash cenosphere particles were used as mixture in aluminum matrix composite by squeeze casting method, and the electromagnetic interfering shielding effectiveness (EMISE) was investigated in the frequency range from 0.03 MHz to 1.5 GHz.
Journal ArticleDOI

Compressive properties of open-cell Fe–Ni foams

TL;DR: In this paper, a structure factor k was used to investigate the relationship between aspect ratio of ligaments and yield strength of open-cell Fe-Ni foams, and the results indicated yield strength increased with the decreasing aspect ratio.
