Role of scanning strategy on residual stress distribution in Ti-6Al-4V alloy prepared by selective laser melting
TL;DR: In this article, a combination of the finite element simulation and experimental verification is proposed to study the effect of scanning strategies on the thermal behavior and residual stress distribution, and two kinds of mechanical boundary conditions are selected to investigate its effect on the residual stress in the mechanical simulation.
Journal ArticleDOI
High-throughput fabrication of nickel-based alloys with different Nb contents via a dual-feed additive manufacturing system: Effect of Nb content on microstructural and mechanical properties
Decheng Kong,Chaofang Dong,Xiaoqing Ni,Liang Zhang,Cheng Man,Jizheng Yao,Yucheng Ji,Yupeng Ying,Kui Xiao,Xuequn Cheng,Xiaogang Li +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of Nb content on the microstructure, mechanical properties and surface potential of the as-received and heat-treated nickel-based alloys were investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hetero-deformation-induced stress in additively manufactured 316L stainless steel
TL;DR: Heterogeneous cellular structure combined with bimodal grain structure contributed to the high hetero-deformation-induced (HDI) stress in selective laser melted 316L stainless steel (SLMed 316L SS) as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of TiC content on the mechanical and corrosion properties of Inconel 718 alloy fabricated by a high-throughput dual-feed laser metal deposition system
Decheng Kong,Chaofang Dong,Xiaoqing Ni,Liang Zhang,Cheng Man,Guoliang Zhu,Jizheng Yao,Li Wang,Xuequn Cheng,Xiaogang Li +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, a joint powder-fed laser metal deposition (LMD) system with two independent powder delivery systems was used to fabricate Inconel 718 alloys with different TiC contents.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anisotropy in mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of 316L stainless steel fabricated by selective laser melting
TL;DR: In this article, the corrosion behavior and mechanical properties of 316L stainless steel (SS) fabricated via selective laser melting (SLM) were clarified by potentiodynamic polarization measurements, immersion tests, and tensile experiments.
