Evaluation of new non-genetically modified soybean varieties as ingredients in practical diets for Litopenaeus vannamei
TL;DR: Results indicate that genetic selection of soybean for nutritional characteristics of the meal has the potential to increase the nutritional values of SBM for shrimp feeds, and relatively higher values in terms of digestibility as well as supporting good growth are demonstrated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Utilization of sorghum distillers dried grains in extruded and steam pelleted shrimp diets.
Akinbode A. Adedeji,Akinbode A. Adedeji,Yangen Zhou,Xiaoyun Fang,Donald Allen Davis,A.C. Fahrenholz,Sajid Alavi +6 more
TL;DR: Use of distillers dried grain with solubles from sorghum (sDDGS) was studied with respect to processing and physicochemical quality of shrimp feed, followed by growth trials with Litopenaeus vannamei, indicating that up to 40% of this novel protein source can be used in feed formulations without affecting the performance of L. vannameo.
Journal ArticleDOI
Numerical simulation of single-cluster and multi-cluster fracturing of hydrate reservoir based on cohesive element
TL;DR: In this article , the authors established a three-dimensional hydraulic fracturing model based on cohesive elements to analyze the influence of the hydraulic fracturing fluid injection rate on the initiation and propagation of single-cluster fractures and influence of fracture spacing on simultaneous fracturing and sequential fracturing of multistage fractures.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hydrate formation and dissociation characteristics in clayey silt sediment
TL;DR: In this article , the formation and dissociation of natural gas hydrates in clayey silt sediments with illite or montmorillonite were experimentally investigated, and it was determined that an increase in the water content of silt and illite-silt, from ~9.47% to ~28.41% caused a decrease in water-to-hydrate conversion ratio owing to the formation of a hydrate film between water and CH 4 gas.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thermodynamic restrictions determine ammonia tolerance of methanogenic pathways in Methanosarcina barkeri.
TL;DR: In this article , a multitrophic methanogen, Methanosarcina barkeri DSM 800, was cultured with acetate, H2/CO2, and methanol to evaluate the influence of ammonia on different methanogenic pathways.
