Social Isolation During Adolescence Induces Anxiety Behaviors and Enhances Firing Activity in BLA Pyramidal Neurons via mGluR5 Upregulation
Song Lin,Xin Li,Yi-Hua Chen,Feng Gao,Hao Chen,Neng-Yuan Hu,Lang Huang,Zheng-Yi Luo,Ji-Hong Liu,Qiang-Long You,Ya-Nan Yin,Ze-Lin Li,Xiao-Wen Li,Zhuo-Jun Du,Jian-Ming Yang,Tian-Ming Gao +15 more
TL;DR: A critical period in adolescence is revealed during which social isolation can induce anxiety behaviors and facilitate BLA pyramidal neuronal excitability, both of which are mediated by mGluR5, thus providing mechanistic insights into the onset of anxiety behaviors after social isolation during adolescence.
Journal ArticleDOI
The ATP Level in the Medial Prefrontal Cortex Regulates Depressive-like Behavior via the Medial Prefrontal Cortex-Lateral Habenula Pathway
Song Lin,Lang Huang,Zhou-Cai Luo,Xin Li,S.Y. Jin,Zhuo-Jun Du,Ding-yu Wu,Wen-Chao Xiong,Zheng-Yi Luo,Yun-Long Song,Qian Wang,Xianling Liu,Ruihua Ma,Meng Wang,Chaoran Ren,Jianping Yang,Tian Gao +16 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the cellular and neural circuit mechanisms underlying ATP deficiency-induced depressive-like behavior were investigated using ex vivo slice electrophysiology, chemogenetic manipulations, RNA interference, gene knockout, behavioral testing, and two depression mouse models, one induced by chronic social defeat stress and one caused by a IP3R2-null mutation.
Journal ArticleDOI
The effects of tamoxifen on mouse behavior.
Xin Li,Zhuo-Jun Du,Man-Qi Chen,Jia-Jun Chen,Zhi-Man Liang,Xiao-Ting Ding,Min Zhou,Shu-Ji Li,Xiao-Wen Li,Jian-Ming Yang,Tian-Ming Gao +10 more
TL;DR: The results show, for the first time, that tamoxifen affects behavior in mouse models and the effects of tamoxIFen are more complex than previously reported.
