Journal ArticleDOI
Tribological application of carbon nanotubes in a metal-based composite coating and composites
TL;DR: In this article, the effects of CNTs on the tribological properties of these composites were evaluated, and the results demonstrated that the Ni-P-CNT electroless composite coating exhibited higher wear resistance and lower friction coefficient than Ni−P-SiC and Ni-p-graphite composite coatings.
Journal ArticleDOI
Preparation and properties of TiB2 nanoparticle reinforced copper matrix composites by in situ processing
TL;DR: In this paper, a copper matrix composite reinforced by in situ TiB2 nanoparticle was prepared by reactions of B2O3, carbon and titanium in copper-titanium melt.
Journal ArticleDOI
Friction and wear behavior of electroless Ni-based CNT composite coatings
TL;DR: In this paper, Ni-based carbon nanotube (CNT) composite coatings with different volume fraction (from 5 to 12 vol%) of CNTs were deposited on medium carbon steel substrates by electroless plating.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of aging treatment on the electrical sliding wear behavior of Cu–Cr–Zr alloy
TL;DR: In this paper, the wear behavior of aged Cu-Cr-Zr alloys dry sliding against a brass counterface was investigated on a pin-on-disk wear tester under electric current conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tribological properties of Ni–P-multi-walled carbon nanotubes electroless composite coating
TL;DR: In this article, the tribological properties of Ni-P-CNTs composite coating prepared by electroless technique were investigated using a ring-on-block test rig and the results indicated that addition of CNTs would result in an increase in hardness of the composite coating.
