Journal ArticleDOI
Cardioprotective effect of salvianolic acid A on isoproterenol-induced myocardial infarction in rats.
TL;DR: It is suggested that salvianolic acid A possessing antioxidant activity has a significant protective effect against isoproterenol-induced myocardial infarction and mitochondrial respiratory function.
Journal ArticleDOI
Polymorphisms of ACE2 gene are associated with essential hypertension and antihypertensive effects of Captopril in women.
Xiaohan Fan,Yibo Wang,Kai Sun,Wencheng Zhang,Xiuying Yang,Sheng Wang,Yisong Zhen,Jinwan Wang,Weiju Li,Yunfeng Han,T Liu,Xishan Wang,Jingzhou Chen,H Wu,Rutai Hui +14 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that the ACE2 T allele confers a high risk for hypertension and reduced antihypertensive response to ACE inhibitors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Salvianolic Acid A Protects Against Diabetic Nephropathy through Ameliorating Glomerular Endothelial Dysfunction via Inhibiting AGE-RAGE Signaling.
Biyu Hou,Guifen Qiang,Yuerong Zhao,Xiuying Yang,Xi Chen,Yu Yan,Xiaobo Wang,Chenge Liu,Li Zhang,Guanhua Du +9 more
TL;DR: SalA attenuated oxidative stress induced by AGEs, subsequently alleviated inflammation and restored the disturbed autophagy in glomerular endothelial cell and diabetic rats via AGE-RAGE-Nox4 axis and might be a promising therapeutic agent for the treatment of diabetic nephropathy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antidiabetic Effect of Salvianolic Acid A on Diabetic Animal Models via AMPK Activation and Mitochondrial Regulation
Guifen Qiang,Xiuying Yang,Lili Shi,Hengai Zhang,Bainian Chen,Yan Zhao,Mian Zu,Dan Zhou,Jing Guo,Haiguang Yang,Li Zhang,Guanhua Du +11 more
TL;DR: SalA exhibits the antidiabetic effects in diabetic animal models through improving mitochondrial function, increasing ATP production, and decreasing MMP via CaMKKβ/AMPK signaling pathway.
Journal ArticleDOI
Protective effects of salidroside on endothelial cell apoptosis induced by cobalt chloride.
TL;DR: Findings suggest that salidroside protects endothelial cells from cobalt chloride-induced apoptosis as an antioxidant and by regulating Bcl-2 family may represent a novel therapeutic agent for the treatment and prevention of hypoxia and oxidative stress-related diseases.
