Preparation and performance of amine-tartaric salt as potential clay swelling inhibitor
TL;DR: A series of small molecular clay swelling inhibitor was prepared with tartaric acid and amines, presented as amine-tartaric salts (ATS) as discussed by the authors, which is the best inhibitor of the hydration expansion and dispersion of bentonite.
Journal ArticleDOI
Characteristics of a crude oil composition and its in situ waxing inhibition behavior
Gang Chen,Jiao Lin,Weimin Hu,Chao Cheng,Xuefan Gu,Weichao Du,Jie Zhang,Chengtun Qu,Chengtun Qu +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a crude oil containing high paraffin from Yanchang Oilfield was studied for the situ waxing inhibition as an example in this work, and the components were separated using silica gel column chromatography by different eluent and were named A1 to A14.
Journal ArticleDOI
Investigation of cationic surfactants as clean flow improvers for crude oil and a mechanism study
Xuefan Gu,Fan Zhang,Yongfei Li,Jie Zhang,Shijun Chen,Chengtun Qu,Chengtun Qu,Gang Chen,Gang Chen +8 more
TL;DR: Cetyl trimethyl ammonium chloride (CTAC), cetyl triconitrile ammonium bromide (CTAB), and octadecyl trimethylammonium chloride(OTAC) were evaluated as clean flow improvers for crude oil as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Journal ArticleDOI
The Application of Ferric Chloride-Lignin Sulfonate as Shale Inhibitor in Water-Based Drilling Fluid.
TL;DR: Compared with control, FCLS-2 displayed high inhibitive ability against the hydrating and swelling processes of clay, and the swelling degree of samples with FCLs-2 was much lower than that of the control, as well as the mud ball was more stable in FCLL-2 solution.
