Passivation behavior and surface chemistry of 2507 super duplex stainless steel in artificial seawater: Influence of dissolved oxygen and pH

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the passivation and film chemistry of 2507 super duplex stainless steel in modified artificial seawater (ASW) and found that passive film becomes denser from pre-passivation to passivation region and pores form accompanied with the increase of oxidized Fe after transpassivation.
Journal ArticleDOI

An intelligent coating doped with inhibitor-encapsulated nanocontainers for corrosion protection of pipeline steel

TL;DR: In this paper, an intelligent coating was developed based on encapsulation of benzotriazole (BTA) inhibitors in prepared SiO 2 nanoparticle based polyelectrolyte nanocontainers, and self-releasing of the inhibitors for corrosion inhibition to a pipeline steel in a chloride solution.
Journal ArticleDOI

4-aminoazobenzene modified natural glucomannan as a green eco-friendly inhibitor for the mild steel in 0.5 M HCl solution

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of a green eco-friendly 4-aminoazobenzene modified natural glucomannan (GL-PA) on the corrosion protection of mild steel in 0.5 M HCl solution was investigated by electrochemical measurements and surface characterization.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of roughness on general corrosion and pitting of (FeCoCrNi)0.89(WC)0.11 high-entropy alloy composite in 3.5 wt.% NaCl solution

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of roughness on general corrosion and pitting of (FeCoCrNi)0.89(WC) 0.11 high-entropy alloy composite in 3.5 wt.% NaCl solution was studied by electrochemical measurements and composition characterization.
