Higher-precision radial velocity measurements with the SOPHIE spectrograph using octagonal-section fibers

TL;DR: In this paper, a fiber link modification is proposed for the SOPHIE spectrograph, which includes a piece of octagonal-section fiber, having good scrambling properties, lying inside the former circular section fiber, and tested on a bench to characterize near-field and far-field scrambling properties.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

The Polychromatic Laser Guide Star for tilt measurement: progress report of the demonstrator at Observatoire de Haute Provence

TL;DR: In this article, the authors report results from the ATTILA experiment obtained at the 1.52 m======telescope at Observatoire de Haute-Provence, showing that the accuracy of the measurements is currently ≈ 1.5 Airy disk rms at 550 nm.

The polychromatic laser guide star : the elp-oa demonstrator at observatoire de haute provence

TL;DR: In this article, the authors report the progress of the first demonstrator of the implementation of this concept, at Observatoire de Haute-Provence 1.52m telescope, including the beam propagation to the lasers room to the mesosphere and the algorithms for tip-tilt measurements.
