Retention behaviour of o-, m- and p-isomers of benzene derivatives on a silica gel hydroxylated surface in liquid chromatography

TL;DR: In this paper, the retention order of polar substituted benzenes was investigated on columns packed with silica gel with a hydroxylated surface, the eluent being r -hexane with different polar additions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Liquid chromatography on carbosilochrom and carbosilica gel-silica adsorbents with a modified carbon surface

TL;DR: In this article, the adsorbent structures before and after modification have been studied and the columns packed with the Carbosilochrom and Carbosilsilica gel so obtained were used for studies of their selectivity in the liquid chromatography of an homologous series of polymethyl-and mono-alkylsubstituted benzenes, alkylnaphthalenes, methylphenols and benzoic esters on elution with solutions of methanol + water of different concentrations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Regularities in the retention of isomeric aromatic hydrocarbons in liquid chromatography. Part I. Analysis of polymethyl-and monoalkyl benzenes and polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons on hydroxylated silica gel

TL;DR: In this paper, the retention on hydroxylated silica gel surface upon elution with n-hexane increases in polymethylbenzenes and decreases in the series of mono-alkylenzenes (after toluene) and all iosmers of xylenes, trimethyl-and tetramethylbenzenenes are separated as well as isomers of tert.-phenyls, isomer of several dimethylnaphthalenes, anthracene, phenanthrene and poly aromatic hydrocarbons with five condensed rings.
Journal ArticleDOI

Use of liquid crystals in liquid chromatography

TL;DR: In this article, a study of the liquid chromatographic retention behavior of benzene derivatives on two types of liquid crystals deposited on silica gel using hexane as the eluent is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Gas chromatography on porous polymer chromosorb-102 and its adsorption properties

TL;DR: In this article, the free energies of adsorption on the surface of porous polymer have been measured for nine classes of organic substances relative to the normal alkanes containing the same number of carbon atoms in the molecule.
