Journal ArticleDOI

Rheumatoid Arthritis in Sickle-Cell Population: Pathophysiologic Insights, Clinical Evaluation and Management.

TL;DR: The epidemiological association of SCD-RA is highlighted, the underlying common pathogenetic mechanisms, such as endothelial dysfunction, the role of inflammatory cytokines and oxidative stress are discussed, and rationale for therapeutic options available for RA is provided.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Relationship of Pulse Pressure and Bone Mineral Density in Adult USA Population: Analysis of the National Health and Nutritional Examination Survey.

TL;DR: The hypothesis that wide Pulse Pressure is associated with low Bone Mineral Density is supported, and a negative association was demonstrated at the femoral neck where bone loss and osteoporotic fractures occur at a more advanced stage, further supporting the relationship between atherosclerosis and osteopsorosis risk.
Journal ArticleDOI
