Influence of Rare Earth Elements on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Cast High-Speed Steel Rolls
TL;DR: In this article, the influence of rare earth (RE) elements on the solidification process and eutectic transformation and mechanical properties of the high-V type cast, high-speed steel roll was studied.
Journal ArticleDOI
Study on the nucleation and growth of Laves phase in a 10% Cr martensite ferritic steel after long-term aging
TL;DR: In this article, the nucleation and growth of Laves phase in a 10% Cr martensite ferritic steel after long-term aging was investigated, and it was found that Laves phases prefer to locate at prior austenite grain boundaries and martensites lath boundaries, especially, most of them precipitate at grain boundaries with a misorientation angle of 40-60°.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tempering behavior of a semi-high speed steel containing nitrogen
Mingjia Wang,Yan Wang,Feifei Sun +2 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the decomposition behavior of martensite and precipitation characteristics of carbonitrides during the tempering process of a low-alloy high-speed steel (semi-HSS) containing nitrogen were investigated by means of transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscope, energy dispersive spectrometry and electron energy loss spectroscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evolution and its stability of M23(C,N)6 carbonitride in martensite ferritic steel during long-term thermal aging
TL;DR: In this article, the evolution of M23C6 carbide during isothermal aging of the 10% Cr martensite ferritic steel at 650°C has been investigated by mainly using SEM-BSE and TEM-EELS.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of nitrogen on the austenite cooling transformation kinetics of a high-speed steel
TL;DR: In this paper, a semi-high-speed steel (HSS) with or without additional nitrogen was studied by means of DT1000 dilatometer and the results indicated that the addition of nitrogen can improve the hardening ability and bring down the M s temperature of the steel.
