Continuum topology optimization with non-probabilistic reliability constraints based on multi-ellipsoid convex model

TL;DR: In this article, a quantified measure for non-probabilistic reliability based on the multi-ellipsoid convex model is proposed for topology optimization of continuum structures in the presence of uncertain-but-bounded parameters.
Journal ArticleDOI

Non-probabilistic reliability-based topology optimization of geometrically nonlinear structures using convex models

TL;DR: In this paper, a non-probabilistic reliability-based topology optimization method for the design of continuum structures undergoing large deformation is presented. But the authors do not consider the nonlinearity of the structural system.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structural reliability assessment based on probability and convex set mixed model

TL;DR: In this paper, the reliability assessment of structures exhibiting both stochastic and bounded uncertainties by using a probability and convex set mixed model is investigated, and the safety measure of a structure is quantified by a reliability index defined by a nested minimization problem.
Journal ArticleDOI

On non-probabilistic reliability-based design optimization of structures with uncertain-but-bounded parameters

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the formulation and numerical solution of reliability-based optimization of structures exhibiting grouped uncertain-but-bounded variations and proposed a method based on concerned performance for regularization of the reliability index constraints.
Journal ArticleDOI

Multi-material topology optimization considering interface behavior via XFEM and level set method

TL;DR: In this article, an efficient multi-material topology optimization strategy for seeking the optimal layout of structures considering the cohesive constitutive relationship of the interface is presented. But, the interface behavior may exhibit tension/compression non-symmetric topology, in which material interfaces mainly undergo compression.
