Biochar bound urea boosts plant growth and reduces nitrogen leaching.
Wei Shi,Yanyan Ju,Rongjun Bian,Lianqing Li,Stephen Joseph,David R. G. Mitchell,Paul Munroe,Sarasadat Taherymoosavi,Genxing Pan +8 more
TL;DR: This study suggested that N in the Bio-MUC was shown slow releasing in water but maize growth promoting in soil, relative to conventional urea, and biochar from agro-wastes could be used for blending urea as combined organo/mineral urea to replace mineral urea so to reduce N use and impacts on global Nr.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pyrolyzed municipal sewage sludge ensured safe grain production while reduced C emissions in a paddy soil under rice and wheat rotation
Qianqian Shao,Yanyan Ju,Wenjie Guo,Xin Xia,Rongjun Bian,Lianqing Li,Wenjian Li,Xiaoyu Liu,Jufeng Zheng,Genxing Pan +9 more
TL;DR: Soil amendment of pyrolyzed sewage sludge could be a measure for climate smart soil and for safe grain production in rice agriculture and it deserves further study if repeated amendment could exert sustainable impacts on soil health and food security in the paddy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Correlation between soil enzyme activities and maize growth under waterlogging stress
Journal ArticleDOI
Water ecological health assessment of the muling river basin based on analytic hierarchy process in northeast china
X. Sun,Y.H. Chai,Qingyuan Chai,S.-D. Song,Yanyan Ju,Tianle Yu,X. Li,H.X. Yu,F.Y. Chai,W. Wang +9 more
TL;DR: In order to explore the water ecological health of the Muling River, the largest tributary of Wusuli River in northeast China, Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper investigated environmental factors and aquatic organisms in different seasons.
