Journal ArticleDOI

Construction of carbon dots modified Cl-doped Bi2WO6 hollow microspheres for boosting photocatalytic degradation of tetracycline under visible light irradiation

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors presented a novel concept for the exploitation of composite nanophotocatalysts for the effective degradation of organic pollutants, where CDs were installed on the surface of the three-dimensional hollow microsphere nanophoton-based catalysts by the hydrothermal approach.
Journal ArticleDOI

Self-quenching-resistant solid-state carbon dots for mechanism and applications

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reviewed the current challenges faced by solid-state carbon dots (SCDs) and provided an outlook on the potential applications of SCDs in the fields of luminescent devices, anti-counterfeiting, and detection.
Journal ArticleDOI

Solid-state carbon dots with orange phosphorescence and tunable fluorescence via in-situ growth in phthalimide crystal matrix

TL;DR: In this paper , solid-state carbon dots (SCDs) emitting green, yellow, and orange fluorescence were fabricated using urea and phthalic acid as precursors, and the band gap size was systematically controlled by varying the ratio of raw material nitrogen.
