Journal ArticleDOI
Comparable outcomes between younger (40 years) and older (>40 years) adult patients with severe aplastic anemia after HLA-matched sibling stem cell transplantation using fludarabine-based conditioning
Seung-Hwan Shin,Ye Won Jeon,Joo Hee Yoon,Seung-Ah Yahng,Seong-Beom Lee,Cho Bs,Ki-Sung Eom,Yun Ju Kim,Sung-Pil Lee,Chang-Ki Min,Hyung-Ok Kim,Seok-Goo Cho,Kim Dw,Min Ws,Junguee Lee +14 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that MSD-SCT using Flu/lower-dose Cy/ATG may be a feasible first-line treatment even in older patients with SAA, and may overcome the negative effects of age.
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification of molecular and cytogenetic risk factors for unfavorable core-binding factor-positive adult AML with post-remission treatment outcome analysis including transplantation
Joo Hee Yoon,Hyung-Ok Kim,Ji-Il Kim,Ye Won Jeon,Seung-Hwan Shin,Seong-Beom Lee,Cho Bs,Ki-Sung Eom,Kim Yj,Sung Hyun Lee,Chang-Ki Min,Seok-Goo Cho,Junguee Lee,Min Ws,Park Cw +14 more
TL;DR: It is found that unfavorable CBF-AML can be defined with risk stratification using cytogenetic and molecular studies, and a careful risk-adapted treatment approach using frontline transplantation with novel therapies should be evaluated for this particular risk subgroup.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synergistic effect between celecoxib and luteolin is dependent on estrogen receptor in human breast cancer cells
TL;DR: The synergistic anti-tumor effect of the celecoxib and luteolin combination treatment in different four breast cancer cell lines is demonstrated, thus introducing the possibility of this combination as a new treatment modality.
Journal ArticleDOI
Correlation Between Surgical Extent and Prognosis in Node-Negative, Early-Stage Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma Originating in the Isthmus
TL;DR: Lobectomy plus isthmusectomy may be optimal for early-stage, node-negative papillary thyroid carcinoma originating in the isthmus for tumors ≤1 cm; total thyroidectomy might be better for tumors >1 cm.
Journal ArticleDOI
Weight change and its impact on prognosis after adjuvant TAC (docetaxel–doxorubicin–cyclophosphamide) chemotherapy in Korean women with node-positive breast cancer
TL;DR: It is suggested that weight gain after adjuvant TAC chemotherapy is common in Korean women with breast cancer, and in contrast to previous Western studies, weight gain did not appear to be sustained, and there was no relationship between weight gain and poor RFS.
