Journal ArticleDOI

Using terahertz time-domain spectroscopical technique to monitor cocrystal formation between piracetam and 2,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid

TL;DR: The results indicate that THz-TDS technology can absolutely offer a high potential method to identify and characterize the formed cocrystals, and provide the rich information about their reaction dynamic process involving two or more molecular crystals in situ to better know the corresponding reaction mechanism in pharmaceutical fields.
Journal ArticleDOI

Raman and terahertz spectroscopical investigation of cocrystal formation process of piracetam and 3-hydroxybenzoic acid

TL;DR: The cocrystal of piracetam and 3-hydroxybenzoic acid under grinding condition has been characterized by terahertz spectroscopical technique and results show that the vibrational modes of the cocystal are different from those of the corresponding parent materials.
Journal Article

[Spectral Analysis about the Pharmaceutical Cocrystal Formation of Piracetam and 3-Hydroxybenzoic Acid].

TL;DR: This study's cocrystal formation between piracetam and 3-hydroxybenzoic acid using grinding method has been characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), Raman and terahertz (THz) spectroscopical techniques, which offer the theoretical benchmark and unique means for real-time monitoring pharmaceutical cocystal formation and the corresponding quantitative analysis in the pharmaceutical field.
