Journal ArticleDOI

Research Progress on Heat Stress of Rice at Flowering Stage

TL;DR: It is suggested that further study should be focused on exploring heat injury differences among different rice variety types, and innovating rice-planting methods according to planting system changes in rice planting regions with extreme heat stress, to achieve optimal heat stress management efficiencies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mini review roles of the bZIP gene family in rice.

TL;DR: The roles of bZIP proteins in multiple biological processes that include pathogen defense; responses to abiotic stresses; seed development and germination; senescence; and responses to salicylic, jasmonic, and abscisic acids in rice are presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Reduced bioactive gibberellin content in rice seeds under low temperature leads to decreased sugar consumption and low seed germination rates.

TL;DR: A deficiency of bioactive GAs in rice seeds exposed to low temperature led to a decrement in starch hydrolysis and sugar consumption, thus inhibit seed germination.
Journal ArticleDOI

Low pH-induced changes of antioxidant enzyme and ATPase activities in the roots of rice (Oryza sativa L.) seedlings.

TL;DR: The activities of antioxidant enzymes (SOD, CAT, CAT) and plasma membrane (PM) Ca2+-ATPase in the two varieties were dramatically inhibited by strong rhizosphere acidification, but the expression levels of ascorbate peroxidase 1 (APX1) and PM H+- ATPase isoform 7 were up-regulated under H+ stress compared with the control.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mechanized transplanting with side deep fertilization increases yield and nitrogen use efficiency of rice in Eastern China.

TL;DR: The mechanized side deep application of N fertilizer can increase the efficiency and profitability of rice production.
