Journal ArticleDOI
Relative efficacy and safety of topical non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for osteoarthritis: a systematic review and network meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials and observational studies
Chao Zeng,Jie Wei,Monica S M Persson,Monica S M Persson,Aliya Sarmanova,Aliya Sarmanova,Michael Doherty,Michael Doherty,Dongxing Xie,Yilun Wang,Xiaoxiao Li,Jiatian Li,Huizhong Long,Guanghua Lei,Weiya Zhang,Weiya Zhang +15 more
TL;DR: Topical NSAIDs were effective and safe for OA and diclofenac patches may be the most effective topical NSAID for pain relief, but confirmation of the cardiovascular safety of topical NSAIDs still warrants further observational study.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effectiveness and safety of Glucosamine, chondroitin, the two in combination, or celecoxib in the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee.
Chao Zeng,Jie Wei,Hui Li,Yilun Wang,Dongxing Xie,Tuo Yang,Shu-guang Gao,Yusheng Li,Wei Luo,Guanghua Lei +9 more
TL;DR: Evidence is provided for the symptomatic efficacy of glucosamine plus chondroitin in the treatment of knee OA and celecoxib is most likely to be the best treatment option, followed by the combination group.
Journal ArticleDOI
Association Between Tibial Plateau Slopes and Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury: A Meta-analysis
Yilun Wang,Tuo Yang,Chao Zeng,Jie Wei,Dongxing Xie,Yuanheng Yang,Huizhong Long,Bei Xu,Yu-xuan Qian,Shi-de Jiang,Guanghua Lei +10 more
TL;DR: The present meta-analysis showed that the increases in MTPS and LTPS were overall risk factors of ACL injury, however, these slopes would only be considered as "at risk" for males, but not for females.
Journal ArticleDOI
Physical Distancing Measures and Walking Activity in Middle-aged and Older Residents in Changsha, China During the COVID-19 Epidemic Period: Longitudinal Observational Study
Yilun Wang,Yuqing Zhang,Kim L Bennell,Daniel K. White,Jie Wei,Jie Wei,Ziying Wu,Hongyi He,Shaohui Liu,Xianghang Luo,Shuo Hu,Chao Zeng,Chao Zeng,Guanghua Lei +13 more
TL;DR: Although successful physical distancing, measured by the rapid downward trend in daily step counts of residents, played a critical role in the containment of the COVID-19 epidemic, the findings of an increase in the prevalence of frequent low daily steps raise concerns about unintended effects on physical activity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Association between metabolic syndrome and knee osteoarthritis: a cross-sectional study
Dongxing Xie,Jie Wei,Chao Zeng,Tuo Yang,Hui Li,Yilun Wang,Huizhong Long,Ziying Wu,Yu-xuan Qian,Kanghua Li,Guanghua Lei +10 more
TL;DR: The findings of the present study indicated that there was a positive association between the prevalence of MetS and knee OA, however, MetS as a whole was associated with the higher prevalence of knee OSP, but not JSN, which should shed light on the understanding of the association between MetS.
