Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental studies on the pathological changes in the several organs due to irritation of the autonomic nervous system
Yoichi Yamaguchi,Masaharu Tsuchiya,Tadayoshi Akiba,Kichiya Kobayashi,Kojiro Shiraishi,Hideo Nozaki +5 more
TL;DR: Both the autonomic nervous system and pituitary adrenal axis are participating cooperatively with each other, in the pathogenesis of Reilly's phenomena as well as in that of Selye's general adaptation syndrome.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nervous influences upon the heart due to overdistension of the urinary bladder: the relation of its mechanism to vago-vagal reflex.
Yoichi Yamaguchi,Masaharu Tsuchiya,Tadayoshi Akiba,Mitsuya Yasuda,Kiryu Y,Takashi Hagiwara,Yasuo Fujishiro,Eiichi Sugaya,Eiichi Sugaya +8 more
TL;DR: It was shown that the nervous transmission from the bladder wall to the heart was related to vago-vagal reflex and the EKG changes produced by over-distension of the urinary bladder were erased by transection of the spinal cord between the lumbar and sacral segment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Studies on electrophysiological properties of vago-vagal reflex.
Eiichi Sugaya,Tadayoshi Akiba,Masaharu Tsuchiya,Kiryu Y,Mitsuya Yasuda,Yoichi Yamaguchi,Yasuo Fujishiro +6 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Studies on the microcirculation under the influence of the autonomic nerve irritation.
Yoichi Yamaguchi,Masaharu Tsuchiya,Tadayoshi Akiba,Mitsuya Yasuda,Kiryu Y,Takashi Hagiwara,Yasuo Fujishiro,Eiichi Sugaya +7 more
TL;DR: The present study has been undertaken to investigate the be havior of the peripheral vascular bed in response to autonomic nerve irritation in order to obtain a clue for elucidating the complex relationship between those two systems.
Journal ArticleDOI
Action of autonomic nervous reflex arising from visceral organs upon the heart
Yoichi Yamaguchi,Masaharu Tsuchiya,Tadayoshi Akiba,Mitsuya Yasuda,Kiryu Y,Yasuo Fuzishiro,Eiichi Sugaya +6 more
TL;DR: Electrophysiological study showed that the nervous transmission from the bladder wall to the heart was related to, vago-vagal reflex, and this mechanism was revealed by the result that arrhythmia or EKG changes appeared at the same time when electrical response ofvago- Vagal reflex was increased after irritation of the gall-bladder or the pyloric region.
