Journal ArticleDOI

Incidence of Congenital Heart Disease: The 9-Year Experience of the Guangdong Registry of Congenital Heart Disease, China.

TL;DR: The results indicate there is an increasing trend of CHD incidence, mainly for single lesion and the most common subtypes (e.g., ventricular or atrial septal defect, patent ductus arteriosus) and there were no increases found for multiple lesions or more complex subtypes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Risk factors of different congenital heart defects in Guangdong, China.

TL;DR: Maternal environmental exposures/occupation and perinatal diseases/medication use were dominant risk factors associated with CHDs in Southern China, suggesting that isolated and multiple defects may have different etiologic factors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Does maternal environmental tobacco smoke interact with social-demographics and environmental factors on congenital heart defects?

TL;DR: Mothers exposed to ETS during the first trimester of pregnancy were more likely to have infants with CHD than mothers who did not, and Maternal low education modified the ETS-CHD association on the multiplicative scale.
