Application of soft computing techniques to multiphase flow measurement: A review
TL;DR: A comprehensive review of the soft computing techniques for multiphase flow metering with a particular focus on the measurement of individual phase flowrates and phase fractions is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Vision-Based Target Tracking and Collision Avoidance for Two Autonomous Robotic Fish
Yonghui Hu,Wei Zhao,Long Wang +2 more
TL;DR: A new type of vision-based autonomous robotic fish capable of 3-D locomotion is developed in this paper, and a situated-behavior-based decentralized control method is employed on each robotic fish according to its visual data.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rotational Speed Measurement Through Electrostatic Sensing and Correlation Signal Processing
TL;DR: The principle and application of electrostatic sensors and correlation signal processing techniques to real-time measurement of rotational speed and the results suggest that the distance between the electrodes and the surface of the rotating object is a key factor affecting the performance of the measurement system.
Journal ArticleDOI
Parameter Synthesis of Coupled Nonlinear Oscillators for CPG-Based Robotic Locomotion
TL;DR: The ability of the method to learn instructed locomotor pattern is proven with simulations and application of the proposed method to online gait synthesis of a robotic fish is also presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dolphin-like propulsive mechanism based on an adjustable Scotch yoke
TL;DR: In this article, a two-motor-driven Scotch yoke mechanism is adopted as the primary propulsor to produce sinusoidal oscillations, where a certain combination of a leading screw mechanism and a rack and pinion mechanism driven by the slave motor are incorporated to independently change the length of the crank actuated by the master motor.
