Tribological investigation of MoS2 coatings deposited on the laser textured surface

TL;DR: In this article, a MoS 2 solid lubricant coating was fabricated by a combination technology of laser texturing and hot-pressing, which resulted in excellent tribological properties, and the wear life of hot pressed coating can be reached 90min with a texture density of 8.5%.
Journal ArticleDOI

Three-dimensional finite element analysis of tube spinning

TL;DR: In this paper, a three-dimensional elastic-plastic finite element model for backward spinning of a cylindrical workpiece is established and a practical spinning process of Hastelloy C alloy tube is simulated with the model and ANSYS software.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tribological behavior and lubrication mechanism of self-lubricating ceramic/metal composites: The effect of matrix type on the friction and wear properties

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of matrix type on the friction and wear properties of the composites is mainly related to its hardness and binding property with graphite, which causes significant changes in the degree of difficulty for extruding lubricants onto the friction surface from the material interior and plastic deformation resistance of composites.
Journal ArticleDOI

High-temperature self-lubricated properties of Al2O3/Mo laminated composites

TL;DR: In this article, the self-lubricating and mechanical properties of Al2O3/Mo laminated composites with laminated structure were studied. And the results showed that the material exhibits good selflubrication and mechanical performance, which can be attributed to the presence of laminated structures and the formation of MoO3 during sliding friction at high temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dry sliding wear behavior of TC11 alloy at 500 °C: Influence of laser surface texturing

TL;DR: In this paper, six types of micro-textures with different diameters and area densities are produced on the surfaces of the TC11 alloy and the wear characteristics of the textured and untextured surfaces are investigated at 500°C.
