Systems, methods, and devices for preparation of water for various uses including blood treatment are described. In embodiments, fluid is passed either by pump or passively by gravity feed, through various filtration elements from a fluid source to a treatment fluid container. The latter forms a batch that may be used during treatment. The advantage of forming the batch before treatment is that the rate of filtering needn't match the rate of consumption during treatment which provides multiple benefits and liabilities to overcome, as discussed herein. Mechanisms for preparing pure water for infusion or medicaments are described such as elimination of chlorine and colloidal aluminum. Also various control mechanisms to help avoid contamination are describe.

A fin-tube type heat exchanger has parallel heat transfer tubes and a stack of a plurality of plate fins mounted on the tubes. Heat exchange is conducted between a first fluid flowing through the tubes and a second fluid flowing through the stack across each of the fins. Each fin has flat tube-mounting portions spaced in the longitudinal direction of the fin and formed with tube-mounting holes and a louver section disposed between each adjacent pair of tube-mounting portions. The louver section has elongated slats extending longitudinally of the fin and having side edges each spaced from an adjacent side edge of an adjacent slat. The slats are classified into two groups in respect of the cross-sectional shape. The slats of one group have generally flat cross-sections to reduce the resistance of the fin to the flow of the second fluid through the stack and are disposed in planes offset from the plane of the tube-mounting portions. The slats of the other group have V-shaped or inverted V-shaped cross-sections to increase stiffness of the fin in the longitudinal direction thereof.

SOLUTION: A corrugated surface (uneven surface) wherein longitudinal recessed and projected ridge parts 12, 14 are repeatedly continued at a constant interval in the horizontal direction is formed on the surface of a dust collecting electrode 10. The dust collecting electrode 10 is constituted by forming ridges and troughs on a metal plate by the repeating bending of the metal plate at an angle of 45 deg. and each of the bent parts forms an R-surface with a radius of about 1-2 mm. The rising surface 20 of the ridge part corresponding to each of the projected ridge parts 14 is pref. formed as an inclined surface of which the angle with respect to a reference plane is 40-50 deg.. A ridge-trough width T is pref. set to 1-5 mm and a pitch width P is pref. set to 10-40 mm.

At the same time, a resistor 6 for controlling the degree of drying in a refrigerant flowing into the heat storage heat exchanger 7 is provided, and the resistor 6 is controlled based on the operation state of a plurality of indoor heat exchangers 12 in cold storage utilization cooling.
