TL;DR: The 2-locus combination of rbcL+matK will provide a universal framework for the routine use of DNA sequence data to identify specimens and contribute toward the discovery of overlooked species of land plants.
Journal ArticleDOI
Six-month functional recovery of stroke patients: a multi-time-point study.
Kyoung Bo Lee,Seong Hoon Lim,Kyunghoon Kim,Ki Jeon Kim,Yang-Rae Kim,Woo Nam Chang,Jun Woo Yeom,Young-Dong Kim,Byong Yong Hwang +8 more
TL;DR: In comparison with the lower leg and trunk control, the upper arm showed less recovery, and all variables except for leg motor function improved continuously over 6 months after stroke, confirming the importance of the period within 3 months for recovery after stroke.
Journal ArticleDOI
Complete chloroplast and ribosomal sequences for 30 accessions elucidate evolution of Oryza AA genome species
Kyung-Hee Kim,Sang Choon Lee,Junki Lee,Yeisoo Yu,Kiwoung Yang,Kiwoung Yang,Beom-Soon Choi,Hee-Jong Koh,Nomar Espinosa Waminal,Hong Il Choi,Nam-Hoon Kim,Woojong Jang,Hyun-Seung Park,Jonghoon Lee,Hyun Oh Lee,Ho Jun Joh,Hyeon Ju Lee,Jee Young Park,Sampath Perumal,Murukarthick Jayakodi,Yun Sun Lee,Backki Kim,Dario Copetti,Soonok Kim,Sunggil Kim,Ki-Byung Lim,Young-Dong Kim,Jungho Lee,Kwang Su Cho,Beom Seok Park,Rod A. Wing,Tae-Jin Yang +31 more
TL;DR: A high-throughput method to simultaneously obtain complete cp and nR sequences using Illumina platform whole-genome sequence is introduced, clarifying three ambiguous but important issues in the evolution of wild Oryza species.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phylogenetic relationships in family Magnoliaceae inferred from ndhF sequences.
TL;DR: The molecular data strongly suggest that a taxonomic realignment of infrafamilial delimitations and compositions should be considered in the Magnoliaceae.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quantitative ethnobotanical study of the medicinal plants used by the Ati Negrito indigenous group in Guimaras island, Philippines.
TL;DR: This documentation of medicinal plants and their uses shows the rich tradition in ethno-medicinal knowledge of the Ati Negrito indigenous people although results might also imply that knowledge is eroding, which could open an avenue for pharmacological research works, or serve as reference for future quantitative ethnobotanical investigations.
