Modeling and minimization of FWM effects in DWDM-based long-haul optical communication systems
TL;DR: A theoretical model for the FWM effects and its mitigation is presented and validated through simulation results, and the transmission performance of the proposed OCS model is evaluated on the basis of bit error rate, optical signal-to-noise ratio and quality factor.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Robust Channel Estimation Scheme for 5G Massive MIMO Systems
Imran Khan,Joel J. P. C. Rodrigues,Joel J. P. C. Rodrigues,Jalal Al-Muhtadi,Muhammad Irfan Khattak,Yousaf Khan,Farhan Altaf,Seyed Sajad Mirjavadi,Bong Jun Choi +8 more
TL;DR: Simulation results show that the proposed channel estimation scheme effectively estimates the channel with reduced pilot overhead and improved performance as compared with the state-of-the-art schemes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Performance optimization of spectral amplitude coding OCDMA system using new enhanced multi diagonal code
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed an enhanced multi diagonal (EMD) code to optimize the performance of spectral amplitude coding-optical code division multiple access (SAC-OCDMA) system.
Journal ArticleDOI
Minimization of Nonlinear Impairments and Its Impact on Transmission Performances of High-Capacity Long-Haul Optical Networks
TL;DR: The theoretical model showing nonlinear factors which degrade the transmission performances of high-capacity long-haul network will be propound and the postulatory model will be validated using simulation of key non linear factors such as effective area, launch power, refractive index and fiber length.
Journal ArticleDOI
Transmission Performance Comparison of 16*100 Gbps Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexed Long Haul Optical Networks at Different Advance Modulation Formats under the Influence of Nonlinear Impairments
TL;DR: In this article, different modulation formats are analyzed for Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexed system at 100 Gbps * 16=1600 Gbps data rates. And the performance analysis of proffered system for Non-Return to Zero, Return to zero, Carrier- Suppressed Return to Zero and Duo binary RZ with duty cycle 0.5 to 0.7 ranges like modulation formats were considered to find optimum modulation format for a 100Gbps bit rate per channel optical fiber transmission network system.
