Synthesis and Properties of Liquid Crystals with Fluorinated Terminal Substituents

TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis of LC derivatives of different chemical classes containing terminal groups (OCHF2, OCHF3, OCF3+1, OCnF2n +1 and CnF 2n + 1) was reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Polymorphism and intermolecular interactions in crystalline fluorinated alkylbenzoic acids

TL;DR: In this article, the properties of fluorinated derivatives of alkylbenzoic acids (FABA) were studied in the temperature range 100-550 K. Experimental values of temperatures, enthalpies and entropies of phase transitions, as well as hydrogen bond energy at different temperatures and in various physical (phase) states were compared to those for alkyls and fluoroalkyl-benzosic acids.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and Properties of new Halogenated Liquid Crystals

TL;DR: Several new classes of low polar, low viscous and optically weak anisotropic two-and three-ring halogenated liquid crystals containing terminal group -OCF2Cl are presented in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fluorinated Analogues of Liquid Crystals 1. Analogues of 4-Methoxybenzylidene-4'-Butylaniline with Perfluorinated Alkyl- and Alkoxy-Groups

TL;DR: In this paper, the MBBA analogues comprising of perfluorinated methoxy-and/or n-butyl groups have been synthesized and their mesomorphic properties have been studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mefenamic acid — A nonsteroid antiinflammatory agent

TL;DR: The suppression of inflammation makes it possible to shorten the time of the illness and to decrease the gravity of the disease and its consequences.
