Journal ArticleDOI

Melting and decomposition of MgCO 3 at pressures up to 84 GPa

TL;DR: In this article, the phase relations and melting of Magnesite were investigated by means of Raman and time-resolved multi-wavelength spectroscopy, and the results demonstrate that at high pressures, the magnesium carbonate melt can exist at a wide range of thermodynamic conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Peridotite–eclogite–carbonatite systems at 7.0–8.5 GPa: concentration barrier of diamond nucleation and syngenesis of its silicate and carbonate inclusions

TL;DR: In this paper, the concentration barriers of diamond nucleation in the melts with variable proportions of silicates and carbonates have been determined at 8.5 GPa and 7.0 GPa, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

The physicochemical conditions of diamond formation in the mantle matter: experimental studies

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that in completely miscible carbonate-silicate melts oversaturated with dissolved diamond-related carbon, a concentration barrier of diamond nucleation arises at a particular ratio of carbonate and silicate components.
Journal ArticleDOI

Diamond syntheses in multicomponent carbonate–carbon melts of natural chemistry: elementary processes and properties

TL;DR: In this paper, the PT-boundary conditions for both spontaneous diamond crystallization and seeded diamond growth from, correspondingly, labile and metastable multicomponent carbonate-carbon melt-solutions oversaturated to diamond are experimentally determined.
