Journal ArticleDOI

Reactivity of triglycerides and fatty acids of rapeseed oil in supercritical alcohols.

TL;DR: The results showed that transesterification of triglycerides (rapeseed oil) was slower in reaction rates than alkyl esterification of fatty acids for any of the alcohols employed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Biodiesel Fuel from Vegetable Oil by Various Supercritical Alcohols

TL;DR: The results showed that in transesterification of rapeseed oil and alkyl esterification of fatty acids, the conversion did not depend on the alcohol type because they had a similar reactivity and the selection of alcohol in biodiesel production should be based on consideration of its performance of properties and economics.
