Journal ArticleDOI
Spontaneous cervicocephalic arterial dissection with headache and neck pain as the only symptom.
Hajime Maruyama,Harumitsu Nagoya,Yuji Kato,Ichiro Deguchi,Takuya Fukuoka,Yasuko Ohe,Yohsuke Horiuchi,Tomohisa Dembo,Akira Uchino,Norio Tanahashi +9 more
TL;DR: Cervicocephalic arterial dissection should be suspected when patients complain of intense unilateral posterior cervical and occipital pain or temporal pain, as well as when patients with co-existing vertebral artery dissection complained of posterior cervical pain.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical review of 37 patients with medullary infarction.
Takuya Fukuoka,Hidetaka Takeda,Tomohisa Dembo,Harumitu Nagoya,Yuji Kato,Ichiro Deguchi,Hajime Maruyama,Yohsuke Horiuchi,Akira Uchino,Susumu Yamazaki,Norio Tanahashi +10 more
TL;DR: Examination of the clinical symptoms and neurologic findings suggested that among patients with medial medullary infarction, few demonstrated all of the symptoms of Dejerine syndrome at onset, and many had lesions that were difficult to locate based only on Neurologic findings.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clopidogrel Resistance and the Effect of Combination Cilostazol in Patients with Ischemic Stroke or Carotid Artery Stenting Using the VerifyNow P2Y12 Assay
Hajime Maruyama,Hidetaka Takeda,Tomohisa Dembo,Harumitsu Nagoya,Yuji Kato,Takuya Fukuoka,Ichiro Deguchi,Yohsuke Horiuchi,Norio Tanahashi +8 more
TL;DR: The addition of cilostazol to clopidogrel may have intensified platelet inhibition, which is a risk factor for thrombotic events in patients with cardiovascular disease.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nitric oxide production during cerebral ischemia and reperfusion in eNOS- and nNOS-knockout mice.
Yasuo Ito,Takeshi Ohkubo,Yoshio Asano,Kimihiko Hattori,Tomokazu Shimazu,Masamizu Yamazato,Harumitsu Nagoya,Yuji Kato,Nobuo Araki +8 more
TL;DR: In vivo data suggest that NO production in the striatum after reperfusion is closely related to activities of both nN OS and eNOS, and is mainly related to nNOS following reperfusions.
Journal ArticleDOI
MRI abnormality of the pulvinar in patients with status epilepticus
Yasuko Ohe,Takeshi Hayashi,Ichiro Deguchi,Takuya Fukuoka,Y. Horiuchi,Hajime Maruyama,Yuji Kato,Harumithu Nagoya,Akira Uchino,Norio Tanahashi +9 more
TL;DR: The results demonstrated that the involvement of the pulvinar in status epilepticus is more frequent than expected and consisted of unilateral or bilateral DWI hyperintensities that may completely normalize.
