A New Automotive VLC System Using Optical Communication Image Sensor
Yuki Goto,Isamu Takai,Takaya Yamazato,Hiraku Okada,Toshiaki Fujii,Shoji Kawahito,Shintaro Arai,Tomohiro Yendo,Koji Kamakura +8 more
TL;DR: To reach a transmission performance of 54 Mb/s, which is standardized as the maximum data rate in IEEE 802.11p for V2X communication, a more advanced OCI-based automotive VLC system is described, which achieves a more than fivefold higher data rate by introducing optical orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (opticalOFDM).
Journal ArticleDOI
Design of polarizers for a mega-watt long-pulse millimeter-wave transmission line on the large helical device.
Shin Kubo,Takashi Shimozuma,S. Kobayashi,K. Okada,Y. Yoshimura,Hiroe Igami,Hiroyuki Takahashi,Satoshi Ito,Yoshinori Mizuno,Ryohei Makino,K. Kobayashi,Yuki Goto,Takashi Mutoh +12 more
TL;DR: The dependence of the polarization states on the combination of the two polarizer rotation angles is examined experimentally in a low-power test with the newly developed polarization monitor and the results show that the measured polarization characteristics are in good agreement with the calculated ones.
Journal ArticleDOI
Light-regulated PAS-containing histidine kinases delay gametophore formation in the moss Physcomitrella patens.
Masashi Ryo,Takafumi Yamashino,Yuji Nomoto,Yuki Goto,Mizuho Ichinose,Kensuke Sato,Mamoru Sugita,Setsuyuki Aoki +7 more
TL;DR: In the moss Physcomitrella patens, PAS-containing histidine kinases regulate the timing of developmental processes of gametophyte generation in response to light, suggesting their functional significance unique to basal land plants.
Journal ArticleDOI
Diffraction Patterns of the Millimeter Wave with a Helical Wavefront by a Triangular Aperture
TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed the measurement method of the topological charge (TC) in millimeter wave with helical wavefront by a triangular aperture, which was passively generated by conversion from a Gaussian beam using a spiral mirror.
Journal ArticleDOI
Progress of long pulse discharges by ECH in LHD
Yasuo Yoshimura,Hiroshi Kasahara,Masayuki Tokitani,Ryuichi Sakamoto,Yoshio Ueda,Shintaro Ito,K. Okada,Shin Kubo,Takashi Shimozuma,Hiroe Igami,Hiroto Takahashi,Toru Ii Tsujimura,R. Makino,S. Kobayashi,Yoshinori Mizuno,T. Akiyama,N. Ashikawa,Suguru Masuzaki,Gen Motojima,Mamoru Shoji,Chihiro Suzuki,Hirohiko Tanaka,K. A. Tanaka,T. Tokuzawa,Hayato Tsuchiya,Ichihiro Yamada,Yuki Goto,Hiroshi Yamada,Takashi Mutoh,A. Komori,Y. Takeiri +30 more
TL;DR: In this article, a stable 39 min discharge with a line average electron density n e_ave of 1.1 × 1019 m−3, a central electron temperature T e0 of over 2.5 keV, and a central ion temperature T i0 of 2.0 keV was successfully performed with ~350 kW EC-waves.
