TL;DR: A simple and spatially-flexible coherent receiver without local lights, optical hybrids, or spatial de-multiplexers is experimentally demonstrated; 2×10-Gbaud SDM QPSK signals were detected only by 2-D arrayed photodetectors based on a novel phase-retrieving technique.

TL;DR: The performance of solar-blind optical wireless communication using AIGaN-based LED at 280 nm band was evaluated experimentally over a 1.5m outdoor Line-of-Sight channel.
Abstract: The performance of solar-blind optical wireless communication using AIGaN-based LED at 280 nm-band was evaluated experimentally over a 1.5-m outdoor Line-of-Sight channel. Even under the summer sun, 1.18-Gbps error-free transmission was achieved. © 2019 The Author(s)

TL;DR: Time-domain analog-to-digital compression (ADX) is designed and implemented on FPGA for low-complexity high-fidelity wireless-wired signal conversion and 50ns processing latency and $EVM < 0.6\%\ over > 30dB$ input power range for 4096QAM-modulated OFDM and single-carrier radio signals.
Abstract: Time-domain analog-to-digital compression (ADX) is designed and implemented on FPGA for low-complexity high-fidelity wireless-wired signal conversion. We demonstrate 50ns processing latency and $EVM 30dB$ input power range for 4096QAM-modulated OFDM and single-carrier radio signals.

TL;DR: This work experimentally demonstrates 1,000 km SSMF transmission of optical multi-eigenvalue modulated signal and discusses the deviation of the eigenvalues due to fiber loss, third dispersion, and ASE noise in practical fiber transmission.
Abstract: We experimentally demonstrate 1,000 km SSMF transmission of optical multi-eigenvalue modulated signal. Moreover, we discuss the deviation of the eigenvalues due to fiber loss, third dispersion, and ASE noise in practical fiber transmission.
